  • Diversity Celebration & Reviving Materials

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

My students were so excited to be able to color pictures of leaders accurately, create hands-on art projects to remember these leaders better, and to celebrate one another during black history using these craft materials and materials to display their work! Refreshing the classroom could not have been done without your support and I am so thankful to have had success in getting my project funded. You helped my students feel excited about learning and creating things!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Mitchell

  • Off to a Good Start

    Funded Aug 10, 2022

We use our white boards, dry erase markers, and clipboards every day for accessibility in meeting all learners needs (in small group and whole group instruction)! I have paired all of the books with important beginning of the year skills/activities, and I love my organization for teacher things! I could not have started the year off great without your support and I am so thankful to have had such a success in getting my project funded. You helped my students this year and for many years to come! Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Mitchell

  • Refreshing Our Loading Classroom

    Funded Mar 1, 2022

This project helped me to end last year strong. I was able to finally get the room looking "back in order," and I had the supplies to not only replace used/broken items, but to save a few things for next year as well. My students are still able to use most of the items that were donated (even in the new school year).

I was able to use the bulletin board roll, anchor chart paper, staples, and masking tape to hang up the students' work inside and outside the classroom. This helped them to feel proud of themselves, and made them motivated to do their best!

We also use the playdoh, puzzle pieces, pom poms, etc. for craft days and for manipulatives to help us have hands-on learning to understand new things (letters, numbers, shapes, etc.).

These materials have meant so much to me and my students, and I will continue to use most of it for years to come!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Mitchell

  • "Building" Student Progress

    Funded Sep 5, 2021

My students use these supplies every day in the morning before instruction to help their brains start the day creatively and with a hands-on experience.

My students are still very excited every day to use these materials! We also use them for indoor recess, and if students have any extra time while I am working with small groups. Students have learned how to work together positively as well as take ownership of their day from the very beginning of class.

The different material options rotate around the student tables daily (after sanitizing) to ensure that each student gets the opportunity to play with each material weekly.

I am so grateful to have these materials in my classroom and to be able to use them consistently. Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Mitchell

I am requesting magna-tiles, transparent building bricks and fidget poppers. Fine motor skills are skills that students need in order to complete everyday tasks such as holding a pencil or cutting paper. These skills are skills that not every student has a chance to build before coming to kindergarten. However, I know that many students in my class need tactile materials throughout the day due to their development levels at five years old. Furthermore, my students will have access to these materials daily in order to practice to build fine motor skills, have an eagerness for learning, and build creative play in the classroom.
