2023 Supply Refresh
Funded Jan 12, 2023Thank you so much for filling our classroom shelves and drawers with supplies! We worked hard through the rest of the school year and learned so much. We showed growth in both our reading and math scores.
Thanks to your generous donation we had fresh markers, glue, and ink to keep us going. We were able to jump into a space unit this spring and we crafted our own moons, put ourselves in an astronaut's shoes, and created a whole portfolio to showcase our learning. All of that was possible because of the materials you gave to our classroom.
We hope you have a wonderful summer!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Knapp
Headphones for Learning
Funded Dec 12, 2022Thank you so much for your generous gift to our classroom! We have been enjoying our new classroom headphones since the beginning of the second semester. Because of your donation, we have been able to do more class-wide guided computer activities. We have learned about new websites and programs, and have gained more technical skills as well as content knowledge. We love working on our math facts fluency every afternoon as a group.
These headphones have made a major impact on our learning this year! Thank you so much for making it possible.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Knapp
Welcome Back to Calendar Math
Funded Aug 9, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donations! We have loved all of our materials. Our class has been learning a lot this year, and the calendar time materials have been a helpful tool. The students especially love using the magnetic fraction pieces, tens frames, and clock during their morning time.
The classroom chairs have also been a class favorite! The students love to sit in a comfy chair when they are reading a book from the library.
We are so thankful that you thought of us this year!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Knapp
This classroom project was brought to life by Bill Gates and 4 other donors. We Are Living in a Hexagonal World!
Funded Jul 4, 2022Thank you so much for your generous gift to our classroom. With your donation, we were able to enhance our classroom supplies.
Unfortunately, the rug that we wanted was unavailable at the time of shipping. We therefore picked out many hands-on materials for our reading and math centers.
We love using the magnetic letters and boards, putting together the number train puzzles, and using all of the other hands-on materials. It is so much easier to learn math concepts (and reading too!) when we can feel and experience what we are learning instead of just reading about it or looking at it on a page.
We can't thank you enough!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Knapp
