  • Comfy and Confident

    I cannot begin to formulate the words for my gratitude! My students are working harder everyday just to have an opportunity to sit in the "student of the month" corner and use the "cool" keyboard. It's amazing how one small thing can motivate students.

    When my students first saw the items, they were excited. I even allowed one of my students to assemble the chair for bonus points. He is a hands on learner, so this was a great project for him.

    I teach in a low socioeconomic area and the little things make a huge difference! My next project will be something centered around snacks and rewards for positive behavior. Again, my students and I truly appreciate you all!!”

  • Sanitizing Our Way to Success!

    My students are utilizing these products in the classroom on an everyday basis. These products such as the tissue and hand sanitizer is crucial to the physical health of the students. During winter months, we see more of an influx of colds and having these basic items in my classroom puts my mind at ease as well as the students. This always helps cut down on classroom interruptions because the students don't have to leave class to get tissue.

    The other items are being used on a daily basis as well. The mouse, the bookshelf for studying various items all work hand in hand to make my classroom an environment for exceptional learning!”

    When I created this project, I was a bit nervous because I did not know how I would be able to afford all the supplies I needed for my students and the classroom. The classroom is a place that is closely knit with a lot of interaction. I have a great focus on keeping my students safe.

    My students and I are using the resources on a daily basis. The students were excited and amazed by the generosity.

The supplies will be used throughout the day during instruction so that I can have an environment that is safe and comfortable. Every student will have the same opportunity as the next and will be confident without the barrier of not having adequate supplies. As I continue to work in urban schools, there has been one common factor: students tend to become dejected because they do not have basic needs. My classroom has always been the safe haven for my students.
