Computers are becoming a part of every child's life at school. We see the world differently with a computer. Students love working on the computer. They are all engaged and love when the computers come out. When a student has a Chromebook they need head phones and mice to help them navigate the computer successfully. In the past we have used ear buds to help our students listen and understand what is being said on the computer. What we found was that student's ear buds would fall out easily and they would spend more time working to keep their ear buds in their ears rather than completing the task on the computer. If we had head phones that were secure on their heads then they would be able to focus on the tasks given to them. Along with head phones students need mice to properly navigate the Chromebook. On the Chromebook there is small pad to navigate the curser and it is very difficult for students to control the curser without a mouse. Some students spend most of their time trying to navigate the curser then completing the task. The products I have selected will help my 3rd grade students be able to use their Chromebook effectively. Instead of spending their time navigating the computer they will be able to use the computer properly which will increase their learning. These items will be so beneficial to not only my students in school, but to those students who are home sick and need to check out items to use at home.
