I am requesting a printer and ink, paper, and laminator for access to printed materials to prepare them for the ACT. The classroom experience has completely transformed, becoming majority digital. However, with technology comes with technical difficulties some days. Therefore, I think it is vital for my students to see various assignments in print form. There is some day the Internet may not work as efficiently, so there remains a strong need for printed materials. My students still need to be able to print their assignments, activities, and unit vocabulary terms. There is satisfaction and a feeling of accomplishment that exudes from students just being able to ‘see’ their work. My star students deserve to see the fruits of their labor and that would not be possible without paper, ink, and the ability to laminate.
My goal is that all of my students understand the importance of the ACT. ACT Prep tackles a plethora of information; therefore, it is vital that I teach test-taking strategies as well. I also want my students to learn the importance of time management because the ACT is a timed exam and each section may or may have more test information to cover in a short or longer period of time. Regardless of that, in my classroom, all of my students are winners.
My personal motto in my classroom is, “I teach, you teach, and we all learn something together.” I am so excited to be the ACT Prep teacher this school year.
We meet Monday to Friday at our great high school where our motto is “The Newest Address of Excellence.” Our motto speaks life into our students daily and we make sure every student achieves his or her goals.
