Amazing Color for Amazing Kids!

When my students first learned that the generous donors at Donors Choose got our classroom artists markers they were so excited to work with them and create their Renaissance portraits.
The students learned how to use the markers to create vibrate art of all varieties. I showed the students how to blend the colors, and how smooth and vibrant the color is on paper.
The students have used the markers for many projects, but the Renaissance project is the one that comes to mind first!
Our next project will incorporate the markers, they will be making symmetry aliens out of their names.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Johnson Ohana Foundation and one other donor.

My students have not had an Art class in school for many years. Each item on my list - calligraphy pens, paper, drawing pencils, and more - will enrich their artistic learning through different mediums, textures, and bold bright colors. The whole school will have an opportunity to enjoy the items on the list and these items will inspire a whole school to create and express themselves through various art forms. Students will learn calligraphy, how to use lines in art and how to create art using various mediums such as charcoal and good quality colored pencils. We will display our art for the whole school to see.
