Our 8th grade students are reading "Inside Out and Back Again," in order to study the meaning of home and what it means to be forced to leave what you've known your entire life for a new journey. This is a book that students can read in school and at home in conjunction with our lesson plans. The goal is to empower students to read other stories in order to be able to tell their own and know that their story matters--no matter where they come from or how many places they've called home. Thank you.
