The use of the Math Manipulative Library and the Scientist Chemistry Kits will be daily activities in my classroom. Using the workshop model in math, scholars will work in small groups for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. The manipulatives and science kits will allow them to work hands-on and see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy way for them to show and share their work with their peers. By having the manipulative library and scientist chemistry kits, scholars will begin to enjoy learning in a classroom setting again. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement in mathematics and science. Scholars will be able to discover a deeper understanding of math and science while exploring these activities.
