My goal as a sixth grade teacher is to engage my learners, deepen our skills, connect with each other, and enjoy the process. I love sixth graders because they are just starting to find themselves and advocate for themselves. I love their humor and have fun each day. There are certainly some challenging days, but those days pass, and the good memories are what I’m left with! I am a self contained teacher, meaning my class stays in my room all day, and I teach all subjects. This provides opportunity for deeper connections and more meaningful learning.
