  • What Can I create?

    Funded Mar 22, 2025

I can’t say thank you enough, for helping me with this project. This is such a great way to end my spring break, knowing more creative materials are in their way! The kids will be so excited! Thank you again, for helping me foster this creativity. This will be a great addition for the rest of the school year, and for future years to come. Again, thank you for showing your appreciation for STEM based activities and my classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Reedy

  • Dyeing to Learn

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

Thank you for helping me create such a memorable and exciting project for my students. We enjoyed reading about the chemistry behind tie-dying and then applying it.

For several students, this was their first time ever tie-dying! Students were talking about this project since I mentioned it was funded. They were very excited to figure out their folds as well as apply the dye. I am very excited to see how the students shirts turn out! Students were so enthusiastic and encouraging in each others designs and color combinations.

Once the shirts have been washed, we will plan a day to wear them and show off our class pride. I plan to have students wear for an upcoming assembly, field trip, and field day, as done with previous years.”

  • Hear Me Out

    Funded Apr 17, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations. My classroom headphones have been kept much neater, thanks to the donation. They are displayed neatly, and easily in view for students to see. The check out system I installed helps me get the materials back, hold students accountable, and returned organized.

It's been extremely valuable to have more sturdy headphones to use for testing and our reading curriculum. It's also been nice to have a couple extra when ones have broken, or a student for whatever reason forgot them. I appreciated the easiness of set up and organized set up. Thank you again for your support.”

  • Measure Up Lab Teamwork

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

Thank you again for your support to our science classroom. These materials are a huge help to make our science labs run more smoothly and ensure each group has sufficient materials.

Students were specifically able to use them in demonstrations for the class for their "Change of State" project. Students were excited to have some new goggles and more graduated cylinders to use. They could not wait to use them in more labs. My teaching team was grateful as well. Our next unit is on modeling conservation of mass, so they will be using them for the labs in that unit.”

  • Tie Dye Team

    Funded Aug 20, 2023

Our class had an incredible time learning about tie dyeing and chemical reactions. We incorporated some fluency reading to better understand the reactions taking place with tie dyeing. The energy, excitement and creativity were contagious. Kids were very excited for this opportunity and experience. Several students had never tie dyed before.

They cannot wait to see how the shirts turn out and to wear them for many occasions in the year. I truly feel they will never forget this and has created a positive learning experience as well as fostering a positive classroom community.”

  • Seeing Green?

    Funded Apr 21, 2023

Thank you again for your generous donations to funding this project. My kids and I are very grateful.

We use green screen technology to enhance creative projects. In social studies, we create news-broadcasts to compare Iowa to other countries in the world. In reading, we made short plays. In previous years, we have used green paper to accommodate the number of projects needed to make. This worked but resulted in low quality backgrounds. Having this green screen increases the quality of the projects and makes the students feel more professional. Outside of this project, kids have asked to use it for other creative extension projects like making commercials, news shows and ads. It's incredible to see their creativity.

Again, thank you for your contribution and support.”

  • Learning with Teachers Pay Teachers

    Funded Feb 22, 2023

I want to thank you again for your incredible generosity. It means so much. This act of kindness has been great for my classroom.

With this product, I have been able to purchase several resources to enrich and continue practicing skills in the classroom. I still have a lot left to use! One resource, shown in the picture, is of students working on a digital escape room, practicing the order of operations. This engaged my students by using technology and stepping out of our textbook. Students enjoy the puzzles and solving each problem.

I know I have benefited personally as well. A lot of the stress of creating engaging activities has been lifted. I can feel good about buying quality resources and products created by other educators. That is directly benefiting others as well. It's a continuous cycle. My students and I are extremely blessed and thankful!”

    With gratitude,

  • Hands on Math!

    Funded Jan 6, 2022

Thank you so much for contributing to the math materials in my classroom. Thanks to you we have been able to have more visuals to enhance our learning with place value, graphing and fractions. The fraction tiles have gotten the most use, and kids ask to play with them and compare them all the time!

We used the graphing white boards when we started our graphing unit. The kids found this really helpful to visualize all 4 planes. They could use the additional space to write the coordinates. We even used them to create pictures and shapes like hearts and squares. The flexibility of the graphing whiteboards saved me much more time because I didn't have to print a bunch of graphing planes!

We will continue to use all of the manipulative as we prepare for our state testing coming up in a couple of weeks. Having them to refer back to as we review previous learning, has been extremely helpful, especially for my visual learners who need the manipulative to help explain their thinking.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Reedy

My goal as a sixth grade teacher is to engage my learners, deepen our skills, connect with each other, and enjoy the process. I love sixth graders because they are just starting to find themselves and advocate for themselves. I love their humor and have fun each day. There are certainly some challenging days, but those days pass, and the good memories are what I’m left with! I am a self contained teacher, meaning my class stays in my room all day, and I teach all subjects. This provides opportunity for deeper connections and more meaningful learning.
