Do you remember being 17 and searching the bindings of a shelf of books for that special one? Do you remember the variety of emotions, the curiosity, that compelled you to turn each page? I want that for our kids! Our Seniors are on fire! In the 12th grade English 4 class I teach, they have been working on a Career Unit with a Legal Unit on the horizon. On the edge of transitioning to their next phase in life, they need a greater variety of non-fiction books in our classroom library! Books that inspire them, inform them, challenge them, remind them, validate them, witness them, and are their scholarly companions in this space. We need books that inspire personal reflection and books that can take each unique student to their own next level. We need a library as brilliant, fascinating, and multifaceted as they are!
