Your donation will provide diverse and engaging reading material for students in my classroom. These books will be read individually in class in our reading corners. The books will also be available for students to check out and take home. These books were chosen based on student interests and the desire to offer a diverse reading selection. In order to foster a love of reading, the students need a selection of genres. Many of these books will be featured in the class First Chapter Friday segment. This segment is the driving force behind creating this wish list. I had difficulty finding novels that would generate interest and were available in our media center. The best way to increase vocabulary and comprehension skills is to read and students need to read what interests them. These books will help my students strengthen their reading skills.
