  • A Book Is a Dream You Hold in Your Hand

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

I would like to begin by thanking all of you for your kind and thoughtful donations towards my project that entailed getting books on grade level to add to my classroom library. The smiles on my students faces when I introduced and showed them all the new books was priceless! Since receiving the new books, I have integrated a reading station into my rotations throughout the school day which allows my students the choice to pick a book they want to read. NOW they have that option of actually picking a book because the books are all on their grade level. Thank you again for your contributions and making this project a successful.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ezernack

  • Reading Is Dreaming with Your Eyes Open!

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom. Thanks to you my students now have several new books added to our classroom library to read. It is hard to afford books on my student's reading levels to last them throughout the school year. We were in need of new books. We had gotten to the point where my students had read most of the books I already had. My students were so excited when I introduced the new books to them to read! They couldn't wait to be able to read them and take Accelerated Reader Test on them!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ezernack

  • Show Kids That Reward Follows Hard WORK!

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

My students and I would like to thank you for your contribution to our classroom. My students have been so much better behaved since I haven incorporated the new incentives for good behavior. If my students remain on green all week (perfect behavior), they receive a trip to my treasure box the following Monday. I also reward for good scores on assessments. My students love visiting the treasure box and getting rewarded for things they deserve recognition for. Since getting the items, students that were once acting up have straightened up a lot because they want to receive prizes themselves.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ezernack

  • *Charging* Up for New Learning!

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

I want to first start off by saying thank you so much for your generous donation to my project. Your kindness goes a long way. You have funded a few other projects for me in the past few years and I can honestly say the items were things my classroom has used on a daily basis. These carts and folders have made it so easy to switch between classrooms and to teach my students some responsibility of filing their own folders. They get a chance to look at their work and then file it on their own. I just want to say I really do appreciate everything and thank you just doesn't seem like enough.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ezernack

  • Books Are Gifts You Can Open Again and Again

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Thank you so much for your contribution to my classroom. This year I made it a priority to expand my classroom library and with your help my students were able to get several new books. These books range from teacher read alouds, beginning to read books, and books that go with their Science and Social Studies curriculum that I can tie in. I introduced the books to them yesterday and they were so excited and couldn't wait to begin looking and reading them! Thank you for helping improve my classroom and giving to my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ezernack

  • File It All Away with Storage Carts!

    Funded Jul 25, 2022

Thank you so much for your contribution to my classroom! With your donation I was able to get 3 file folder carts and hanging file folders for my class. These carts and folders will be shared between my class and the other two First Grades at my school. My students can now help file their own papers for their portfolios which gives them some responsibility and leadership. This will also help the other two teachers and myself because we can simply roll the cart between classes when we need to file papers.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ezernack

  • A Chair Pocket for You, You, and You!

    Funded Jul 16, 2022

Thank you all for your kind donations to my classroom. Thanks to you my new classes will start the year off with a place to store their manipulative and supplies. They will now have a space of their own. This will also help make my life a lot easier in the classroom. Students will be able to store things at their seat instead of me trying to find 837373 places in my room for items like workbooks, zipper pouches, etc. Last year I noticed the need for these seat sacks, but was unable to afford them. Thank you for helping make this contribution to my classroom come true!”

    With gratitude,

  • Do You Hear What I Hear?

    Funded Apr 20, 2022

I do not think that saying "thank you" is simply enough. Since getting my rug fully funded and incorporating it into my classroom, our whole classroom dynamic changed. My students were so excited when they returned from a break this past school year and saw it in my room. Since then we used it countless times during whole group instruction, partner work, etc. It has given my students a place to sit and work. They no longer have to sit on the bare floor. With so many students in a class, it has helped me organize and manage my students so much better. I appreciate it more that you know!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ezernack

  • An Amazing Area Rug for Our Room!

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

Thank you so much for your donation to fund an area rug for my classroom! My students absolutely love it and we have already put it into use!! To see their eyes light up whenever they saw it for the first time was incredible. I honestly cannot thank you enough because with you I would have never been able to buy this for them. Now with the individual squares on the rug, I can manage my students a lot better during core instruction time on the rug and they'll also have somewhere to go during rotations whenever they do their activities and games.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ezernack

This rug will be used every single day in my class. In First Grade, 6 year old attention spans are very small. I teach at a very poverty based school so when these students are left at their desk for too long they tend to go to sleep. This rug helps get them out of their desk and in front of me more. I’ll be able to have lessons on the floor within reaching distance from all of them. I’ve tried using number dots on my floor, but they do not last long at all. I’m needing something sturdier like a rug to utilize in our daily lessons.
