These books will be used in the classroom to show my students the joy of reading comics. There are many comics where the hero has some form of disability but many of our students do not have the means to get into comics. These books will show students with disabilities that there is literature that shows their experience of trying to find their place in the world. Students will have the chance to see themselves as heroes, create their own comic book heroes and will learn the characteristics of a hero.
