Help Our Youth Read
Funded Sep 27, 2022My 6th grade classroom and I would like to thank each and everyone of you for your kind donations. Through your generosity, my students have had the opportunity to open their horizon of reading and find a new passion of literacy. At the start of each school day my students read for 30 minutes. As you can imagine the same books start to get repetitive after a while. With your help we were able to rejuvenate our book case and create a spark to reading again. These moments will help students push their way into college and have a successful future. We can not thank you enough for giving us this opportunity.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Remersaro
Help Our Youth Read
Funded Sep 6, 2021I wanted to thank you all for funding my project and allowing my students to expand their library. In my advisory class students read every day for about 30 minutes. Their grade is decided by how much they read, so as you can tell reading is very important. These new books have opened up a different world for my students.
Since receiving the donated books my student's scores have skyrocketed. Students who usually do not have an interest in reading or read very little have totally changed it around. Now these students are excited to read and are having fun doing it. This also has had a positive impact on my students who already loved reading because they have a broader selection to choose from.
Overall, these books have been such a blessing for myself and students. I am very pleased with my students' new found love of reading. Their reading scores continue to go up and their hunger for reading grows bigger every week. None of this is possible without those of you who have donated. With that being said thank you guys all so much for all you have done for my students!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Remersaro
