Funded Aug 10, 2022Wow! To say that my kindergarten students love to play these instruments for our music time would be an understatement. They BEG to play instruments each music class.
Not only are students learning music in terms of rhythm, beat, notation, etc., but they are learning to care for materials and the care for musical instruments.
Recently we had our school's Christmas program. We were asked to be a part of the program. We learned to play Jingle Bells with our hand bells for the program. I couldn't count how many people came up and expressed how much they enjoy our contribution and that they couldn't believe that kindergarten students were able to play these instruments.
Thank you for helping bring music into our classroom!”

Funded Sep 17, 2022I understand that in these times we find ourselves in, there are many things you could choose to spend your money on. I'm very blessed that you chose to invest in a classroom in remote Alaska.
My students will be beyond thrilled to be able use these materials when they choose seating that will be a good fit for themselves.”

Good Morning, Learners...Good Morning STEM Tubs
Funded Dec 13, 2021As the materials for our project began trickling in, I felt like it was Christmas all over again! I was excited to unpack all the new and wonderful materials that my students would soon be able to get their hands on. The excitement spread to the class as I began displaying the new items for our Good Morning Boxes. I heard things like, "Do we get to use that?" and "Can we do Good Morning Boxes right now!" and "I know what I want to do with that!"
Soon the students' minds and creativity began going wild. Traps were being planned and created for bears, moose, and even leprechauns. I saw magic wands being imagined and created that would make cookies or clean the student's bedroom.
The only issue I now face with our Good Morning Boxes is that students are so engaged with their creations, it's hard to get them to stop working when our time is over...what a great problem to have!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your generosity in helping my students' creativity and imaginations thrive.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Purcell
