  • Calming Area

    Funded Jan 3, 2023

Thank you for your help. This is exactly what we need coming back from winter break. Students will have the tools to learn how to self-regulate and find healthy ways of coping with big feelings. Students will finally have a designated area where they are given their space self regulate.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Prado

  • Hands On Learning

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

Thank you for the supplies that helped our class build their literacy skills through hands-on learning. All the students were extremely excited and grateful for all the new classroom supplies we received. When the supplies showed up, the room lit up with joy, smiles, and laughter. They truly are deserving of all the supplies and were very grateful.

Students used the supplies to play games that helped them learn their letter names, letter sounds, CVC words, and their sight words. They were then excited to start their writer's workshop with their special primary writing journals. They had the ability to apply what we had been learning in class through play into their wonderful stories. Their stories had labels and simple sentences and when their stories were finished we had a publishing party where they shared with the class their final draft.

Thank you for making this possible through all your donations.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Prado

Most students learn by doing, but providing students with the materials they need can be pricey. These materials will help create a learning environment where students are active participators. Many of these materials can be used across disciplines and will make learning feel like play. These materials will help our English learners develop the foundations needed for literacy. they will have the materials to learn the alphabet and the sounds the letters make. They will also have what they need to begin their writing journey by creating their own stories to share with the class.
