These science kits will help leave a positive impact on my students’ learning and foster a love for science. I want these hands-on activities and projects to open their eyes into the wonderful world of science, and I know they will love discovering what is inside a geode. I educate troubled minds at an alternative school setting where students have never experienced "fun" within a classroom. Most of my students have a negative outlook on school, teachers, and learning. My overall goal is to make learning fun and leave a positive mark on their lives! Unfortunately, we do not have the same learning environment as a "regular" school. Many of students come from a troubled background and have a hatred for school. My main goal is to make this school environment more than a punishment, but an experience that can help change their perspective on life and the decisions they make. I have made my classroom a family that encourages better decision making, boosting self esteem, and lets the students know they are loved!
