Help Build Our First Drumline!

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for your generous donations. My students are fully immersed in the percussion world and are loving it! We have eight drummers in our morning club now and they are improving each day. They have participated in two school shows already. During the holidays we merged with piano club and performed Little Drummer Boy and Jingle Bells. During Black History Month, we learned African drumming beats and showed those off! They wouldn't have been able to do it without your generosity.

When the equipment and music books first arrived they were so excited and couldn't wait to begin. I am beyond enthused with their levels of commitment and love for music. They are eager to learn and have become quite independent with practicing.

Our next steps focus on learning auxiliary percussion and strengthening our music reading skills. The children want to learn how to play the xylophone and bells which will require an additional level of music reading.
