In Anatomy, the students have to learn about their cardiovascular system. In class, the only material I have to work with is a drawing for them to color the chambers of the heart. I would like to use this simulation lab so students can take their blood pressure and use a stethoscope to hear their heartbeat. Then as they label the diagram of their heart, they can use the data they collected to see where the blood is entering or exiting. Understanding the flow of their blood will give them an opportunity to reflect on what is occurring within their heart and how they sustain a healthy heart.
