Independent reading benefits students far beyond the walls of our classroom, from overall improved mental health, to higher academic achievement through the skills they develop. I am passionate about creating an environment that fosters a love for reading, by creating space, time, and freedom of choice in the books they read. By funding this project, you will not only be giving my students access to classic and high-interest titles within our classroom library- you will also be helping to instill a love for reading that they will carry for years to come.
