• The Write Stuff

  Thank you so much for your donation to my project, The Write Stuff. This project will help improve and strengthen my students fine motor skills, including writing and cutting.

  My students have begun using the materials you purchased for Fine Motor Journals. We have worked with crayons, markers, glue sticks and scissors. They really enjoy their Journal Time and do not see it as work. They are happy to do the activities and are anxious to see what the next one will be.

• Sunshine on My Shoulders Make Me Happy!

  Thank you for donating to my project, Sunshine on My Shoulders Makes Me happy. The Happy Light has helped bring natural light into my classroom which has no windows.

  There have been many benefits to having natural light throughout the day.

  The light therapy lamps have helped with mood especially associated with tiredness or lack of sunlight. They have also helped with sluggishness and the ability to focus and learn. This is especially important when the weather doesn't allow for anytime outside for recess. Exposure to natural light is vital to the overall well-being of my students.

• All Fun and Games

The children in my classroom have not only learned academic skills, such as shapes, colors, categorizing and sorting from these games, but have also learned many social skills. They have learned to take turns, cheer each other on and encourage each other through difficulties while playing games and having fun.

• Build to Learn

  Thank you so much for donating to my classroom project, Build to Learn. My children have already begun using their creativity and imaginative skills while playing with the MagnaTiles to build homes and habitats for the animals included in the kits. The new pieces have also extended their play with materials we already had in the classroom.

  I'm looking forward to seeing their play continue to grow with the addition of more animal habitats, as well as the construction set of MagnaTiles. The children love magnets and when they can add their imaginations to the materials, the options are endless. Thank you again for donating to my classroom and the children it serves.”

• Back to School Basics

  Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project, "Back to School Basics." This project allowed me to create materials for my I coming students and to be prepared so that they could feel welcome and included from the minute they walked in my classroom door.

  I was able to create name tags for cubbies, crate our Wish You Well Board, create Question of the Day strips and their name tags for answering these questions, a linear calendar, reusable materials for large and small group activities, as well as laminate them so that they are sturdy and long-lasting.

• Books of Encouragement

  Thank you so much for donating to my Books of Encouragement Project for my kindergarten-bound students.

  Being able to give each of my children a special book to help them remember their time in preschool was a wonderful gift for each of them. Reading is essential to all subjects in their upcoming education and it is a joy to be able to get them off on the right foot from the beginning by gifting them with a very special book from a very special time in their lives.

• Littles Learning Letters

  Funded Apr 21, 2022

  Thank you so much for supporting my Donor's Choose Project, Littles Learning Letters. The children in my classroom were so excited to receive these materials and begin to play and learn with them. We now have letter activities in all areas of the classroom including letter popsicles in our house, letter shaped block and letter legos in our blacks area, and fishing for letters, letter building materials and letter matching dinosaurs in our puzzles and toy area. It is wonderful to see my children playing while learning their letters at the same time.

• Independent Learners

  Funded Mar 1, 2022

  The preschool manipulatives arrived last week and were put to use right away. They have been used as quiet, independent learning activities for my students.

  My students have learned how to take and return the tubs of manipulatives to their place when finished using them. They are working really well, playing independently as we all enter the classroom and prepare to start our day at different times.

  These manipulatives are a wonderful way for my students to use their creative and thinking skills to build and create. They also allow for the adults in the room to assist children who need more attention.
