Utilizing technology within my speech and language sessions will enrich the learning experiences of my students. When schools closed due to the pandemic, I was forced to completely change up my style of instruction to assimilate to the situation. I learned many new programs and began using many new platforms, that allowed my students to learn, engage and interact with each other innovatively. Now that schools are reopening, I would like to utilize the strategies and the technical platforms that I used remotely, within my classroom. These iPads will allow my students to engage and learn through their various learning styles, collaborate, and serve as a highly motivational tool. Technology is proven to support the learning for all students, especially those with disabilities when integrated in a meaningful way. Incorporating these iPads into my speech and language sessions will not only capture my student’s attention but aid in their specific learning styles.
