This ice maker would benefit so many kids and some teachers/staff throughout our school! Every other day I am constantly making ice packs for students. Whether it be for a fall, a scrape, a headache, or a bump. I want to make sure I always have ice packs available for students who need them! I also want to make sure they can be mobile. Meaning that the student can take the ice pack with them back to class when they are feeling better but still want to keep the ice pack just in case. Or even if the injured/hurt area is still bothering them but they feel like they can make it back to class and go through the day but want to keep that ice pack on hand. This would provide that solution for them! Ice packs may seem like an everyday item that you may have on hand at home or for some on the go for you. But for some student's an ice pack is like a cold miracle for boo-boos that fixes the pain! This could also be a great teaching item for students who don't know what to do if they get injured at home. This opens the door for us nurses to show students, it just takes a small plastic baggie along with some ice, whether it is from a machine, the fridge/freezer, or even an ice cube tray, wrap it in some paper towels or a washcloth and BOOM! instant ice pack for home! This could teach students some basic first aid that they could then use at home. Thank you for taking the time to consider and read through my messages to promote a healthy and safe environment here at my school for my students!
