The pandemic has shifted the face of education. Our students have cultivated their digital skills over the past year and a half. When school resumes in the fall, students will reacclimate themselves to in-person instruction, including solving Math problems with paper and pencil. Math education must be engaging, stimulating, and interactive to reach students. When my students return, instead of traditional worksheets, I will use whiteboards to facilitate Math instruction and activities. With whiteboards, my students can play Math games that build their fluency and background knowledge. I will use the whiteboards to assess students' learning and bridge learning gaps. The whiteboards will improve my students’ writing and communication skills. The whiteboards will allow my students to explain their mathematical process and problem solving skills in a fun and engaging way. With the whiteboard, they can write their ideas before sharing with their partner. Student partners can communicate their ideas via whiteboards.
