Care & Nutrition Project
Funded Jan 26, 2022I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for donating and funding this project. My students come from a variety of different social and economic backgrounds. A majority of my students receive free lunch and come from households that are below the poverty level. They are ethnically diverse and speak a multitude of languages.
My students were extremely excited and grateful when they saw the food that was delivered to my class. This project provided my students numerous opportunities to enjoy a snack during my class which will gave them the necessary nutrition to learn more efficiently. Research has found that kids learn a lot better when they are properly nourished and eating healthy meals has been linked to higher grades, better memory and alertness, and faster information processing.
Again, thank you for your donations, and good luck with your future endeavors.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Di Costanzo

Funded Dec 10, 2021I want to thank you for funding this project with your donations. Several of my students have used the I-Mac for a variety of reasons. Students used the computer to conduct research on various topics from the 18th and 19th centuries. A couple of students were editing videos for a project related to the American Revolution. Other students completed assignments for my course in Google classroom on the I-Mac.
Technology, in this day and age, can be extremely helpful to students. Using technology and learning digitally is a necessary way to prepare students for adulthood. Technology in our society is going to continue to evolve and advance. Students need to be prepared for that reality. This I-Mac is a state-of-the-art desktop. The kids are really impressed with the size of the screen. The functionality of the computer is top-notch.
I have noticed that, for several years now, my students vastly favor Apple products. The i-phone is the device the vast majority of my students own. The quality of their laptops and desktops is really good. Unfortunately, Apple products are more expensive. Again, thank you for the donations and good luck with your future endeavors.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Di Costanzo
