We strive to present our students with a broad array of texts that include diverse voices. These texts should feel intentional, purposeful, and transforming; to that end, I am eager to infuse more culturally responsive, multicultural, and inclusive stories into my list of assigned reads. In today's contentious climate, this must be more of a priority in our classrooms than ever before! My students will benefit by being able to look at the world from a different perspective. This novel is a highly engaging and suspenseful novel that will help fuel their love of reading.
