  • The Investment In Education Pays The Best Interest

    Thanks again for your support with supplies that has help me modify lessons and give my ELL students the visual support they need. I have enjoyed laminating worksheets and activities for students to help support saving the planet by not wasting paper.

    A special moment I experienced was seeing my student edit his book. He was so happy to see himself in the book that his mother asked me to do more books for him.

    To support students gaols I make two copies of anything I do so parents can have the same activities at home (I have posted pictures of some of the activities I have done for individual students).”

  • Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader

    Students are able to use worksheets that are laminated to each child ability. My Kindergarten-2 graders can practice matching vocabulary while working on their motor skills.

    When students see worksheets that has their specific letter of their name or picture, you can see the difference in attention span.

    My 3-8 graders get to read grade level books that help them build their self esteem while reading.

    My next step is to make students adaptable ENL binder. The binder will have basic words they use, with pictures examples of themselves.”

    I truly appreciate every single item I was able to purchase. It's been a pleasure to watch my students enjoy reading different books that align with their curriculum.

By donating to my project, you will be helping to create a collaborative ENL classroom, where I am able to help my students scaffold off the skills that they are learning with their classroom teacher. This will also help build their vocabulary along with their self confidence, as they become stronger readers. The printer, laminating sheets and velcro will help me, help my students feel successful and independent when reading. Creating these individualized books will also help my students get excited about reading, encourage "reading readiness" along with practicing their literacy skills.
