Landscapes of Home
Funded Aug 13, 2024Thank you so much for funding this reflective art project to help the mental health of my students. Around half of our student population deal with poverty so to provide them with the best possible supplies makes a great impact. After building a strong connection and welcoming environment for the students is when I will introduce this project towards the end of the semester. I have wonderful student and I know how appreciative they will be and excited to express themselves!”

This classroom project was brought to life by .Ceramic Bowls Fundraiser to Give Back to the Community
Funded Nov 11, 2022With these donations the students were able to organize two amazing events that gave back to the community. The first event student taught and worked with people from the community on how to throw on the wheel. After they were finished with the wheel process the students taught how to glaze their bowls they had just made. The student were so excited and grateful for new glazes that we received. They couldn't believe the variety of colors they could now use! The community loved working with the students and loved exploring something new. The students also loved this event and are brainstorming other way to involve the community more and share their love of art. With all the bowls that were made at the first event. The students threw a second event where they sold the bowls and soup for dinner. If you bought a bowl you received a free dinner. All the proceeds that were received were donated to our local food pantry which was $1,200! Thank you so much for your support, it means the world to so many people!!”
