Help Students Tap Into Learning!
Funded Sep 7, 2022Thank you again so very much for sponsoring our fund. The tablets have been such a success in our classroom. Students have enjoyed playing and learning on ABCmouse, PBSkids, and ABCya. Students have amplified their knowledge of ABCs, counting, primary colors, sight words, compound words, and addition.
Students are now at the point where they are practicing independency on the tablets. This is a major impact because in Prek we do encourage our students to practice a level of independency that will carry them through kindergarten and for the rest of their academic career. Not only are they practicing independency, but students are also practicing patience. As one can imagine, the tablets are a very popular center so students must take turns. It can be very difficult to tear a student away from something they love to do so much, such as playing with a tablets. Students have been learned how to take turns by using a timer on the tablets that lets them know that their time is up and then they relinquish the tablets to the next person. All in all, thank you so much again donors. Myself and the Falcons are very grateful.”

Funded Aug 12, 2021Thank you so very much for all your donations to the Wildcats classroom. Because of your donations, students have been thriving in their environment. I use my microphone every morning to do morning meeting and read aloud. Our student that is hearing impaired has been able to access and contribute to the learning. Furthermore, it has been extremely useful during small group instruction! As students are learning through play in centers, I am conducting small groups using my microphone so that students are focusing their attention to the learning.
By providing the seat sack for all my students chairs, we were able to provide personal materials for them to utilize while at their seats. It has provided a sense of independence for students and it's a great way we are staying safe with one another by limiting the amount of shared touched objects that students share.
Half the school is already behind us and my co-teacher and I are so proud of all the progress the Wildcats have made with us and that is partly due to your donations and belife in our students. Thank you so much and happy holidays from our classroom!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Du Jour
