The Gift of Warmth for the Holidays!
Funded Nov 3, 2023Thank you so much for donating to my project, the gift of warmth for the holidays. All of my students were able to receive gift bags filled with warm hats, gloves, and some fun gifts like fidget toys and playdoh. The students were so excited, and many of the students put on the hats and gloves to go home in at the end of the day. They are so grateful.
I appreciate your donation to help make this possible for my students. They are so deserving, and I know this is a useful gift that will help keep them warm this winter. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!!! Happy Holidays!”

Improving Math Facts and Increasing Vocabulary
Funded Jan 11, 2023Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom. I was able to get many math and vocabulary games and activities for students to enjoy. At CMES, we have reading intervention 4 days per week and math intervention 1-2 days per week. During this time, I work with smaller groups of my students to target specific skills they are lacking in or advance the students onto more difficult skills. These resources have been a big help in helping students learn while also playing games at the same time. The students light up every time I tell them we are getting out one of the resources from our donors choose project. The students also ask to get out our new resources when they have free time in the classroom. Again, thank you very much!”

Math and Reading Made Fun
Funded Aug 9, 2022Thank you so much for donating to my donor's choose project "making math and reading fun." This project meant so much to me because I am always looking for ways to help my students learn but also make it fun at the same time. With your kindness, my students look forward to learning math through the games and they ask to play the splash reading game anytime we have free time. I feel like these games have not only helped my students math and reading skills but also help them grow socially. I have used the paper bins to organize my papers for the students. The bins help so much with organizing all the subjects I teach. Also, the gift card has been a great help with planning new and exciting lessons for the students. This group of students is so special to me. At our school we have many students who coming from low-income households and many broken families. My class has become like my family, and I am thankful to donors like you who have donated to allow us to get educational games and provide opportunities for these students to learn and grow. From all of my students and I, we want to say thank you so much for your support and donation. We appreciate it from the bottoms of our hearts.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Bill Gates and one other donor.A Little Gift for the Holidays
Funded Dec 8, 2021Thank you again for the Christmas gifts for my students in December. The students still use the toothbrushes we purchased for them, and they loved the little gifts they got.
When the students first saw the presents, their faces lit up with joy. We played a game where every time i said "right" or "left" they had to pass their presents to that direction. It was a really fun game for them.
I work at a school where we have 80% of families living in poverty. These small gifts means so much to these kids who don't have that much. Thank you so much!”
