  • Education and Technology

    Funded Apr 3, 2022

Thank you so much for your contributions towards my project. My students have been very happy with it and it has helped them a lot academically. Students are provided with an opportunity to work on their IEP goals along with multidisciplinary station content. We read stories from the tablet, solve different mathematical concepts, and learn new academic vocabulary words.

The students find joy in utilizing the tablet to complete content activities and during their choice time. Students are also able to socialize with one another and take turns using the tablet.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. La- Touche

  • Literacy and Mathematics

    Funded Dec 14, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous contributions towards my project. My students have been utilizing the materials that they received. They spend time on the carpet reading books and socializing with each other. The level A books that they received enabled them to build on their current reading skills and they have made so much improvements. My students have made significant progress with their writing skills by utilizing the writing books and dry erase markers. This amazing project could not have been successful without your contributions. Thanks again and I look forward to many other projects with you.”

  • Academic Learning Resources

    Funded Aug 10, 2021

I would like to thank you for your generous contribution towards my academic resources project. My students enjoy utilizing the supplies that they received because it provides them with an equal opportunity to learn and to improve their skills. We have access to the tools necessary to promote academic learning. The students enjoy the puzzles due to the fact that it allows them to demonstrate their learning and also work on their fine motor skills.

The playdough allows us to form letters of the alphabets and to also create different shapes, and work on mathematical computations. We make it our duty to slow the spread of germs by using the Lysol wipes throughout the classroom.

I would like to thank everyone for their wonderful contributions. My class could not have done it without you. We look forward to many more classroom and schoolwide projects together.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. La- Touche

The materials and supplies will be beneficial for my students as they will gain access to the tools that would promote academic success. The printer will allow me to print out learning materials such as work sheets and visuals that would allow students to demonstrate their content-based knowledge. The laminator and sheets would allow me to protect printed materials that students would use during academic learning and also to communicate their needs and request. I would utilize the Velcro in different areas of the classroom. The academic puzzles will serve the purpose of building on students fine motor skills while also identifying letters, numbers, shapes, colors, etc. Autistic students benefit from sensory input and they enjoy the texture of play dough, sensory balls, tubes, slime, foam, and many other sensory materials. In addition, the sensory materials also increases students fine motor skills as it also serves as a motivator. With the rapid increase in Covid-19 cases it is very important that my classroom is carefully disinfected on a daily basis with the best cleaning supplies. A visual schedule plays a major role in keeping students in tune with their daily routine. The rolling cart will enable me to organize the materials my students and I would use throughout the day. My goal as an educator is to ensure that every student is provided with an equal opportunity to learn. In order for me to provide my students equal access to learning I need the material and resources to make it possible.
