All of the items that I requested are going to help me provide lessons and activities to help reach all the varies needs in my classroom. Each one of the manipulatives, puzzles, or fine motor activities have 2 or more variations that I can use to help accommodate each student in helping them reach their academic and IEP goals. As a second year teacher, I am trying to collect materials to help aid in hands-on learning after a pandemic school year where sharing was not an option. Items listed on my list that are more office supplies will be used in preparing materials for the students. For example, teaching intensive needs students, I use PECS ( a form of communication) to help the students throughout their school day. This can be in the form of token boards to help motivate positive behavior or completing a task from start to finish, a visual schedule to help students know what to expect next, communicate while teaching lesson, and much more.
