When a student isn’t distracted by their external environment, their attention and focus can go toward learning. The shoddy old roller chairs I currently have in my classroom are definitely a distraction. Please help me help my students by giving them new, comfortable seating. In an English Language Arts class, a student needs a comfortable learning experience in order to succeed. A comfortable environment aids in reading comprehension, and a comfortable learning environment can also be a place where creativity can flow for things like creative or narrative writing projects.
