After introducing a unit on prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells to my 6th graders, they have been extremely intrigued by microbiology. They have mastered how to care for microscopes and are eager to see cells in action. Due to the pandemic and the spread of Covid, I believe sparking an interest in this field is a necessary good for our future. I am trying to keep this interest alive in my students but watching videos only go so far. So I decided to create an after-school program that will expand on this passion.
