My AP Research students will be able to use the most current and credible textbook on research to learn about a myriad of methodologies in order to collect data on answering their own research questions. This is an AP Capstone diploma class where students come up with their own research question that fills a gap in a topic, research and write a literature review summary, learn about different methods and choose the right method aligned to answer their research question, collect their own data, and produce results they will then analyze. This is a paper they will learn how to write throughout the year. Once finished with the paper they will then be required to present their research's process and findings in a 15 minutes oral defense presentation.
