Funded Nov 29, 2023My students are using fidgets and other calming tools in our social and emotional lessons because it a great way to help children learn manage their emotions and behavior. By incorporating these tools into our lessons, my students were able to learn how to regulate their emotions, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve their overall well-being. My students also learn calming strategies are an important part of their social and emotional development which can have a positive impact on their academic and personal success. Additionally, my students were also able to take their fidgets home and use them outside of the classroom when they are experiencing strong emotions. These social and emotional lessons also included learning and practicing deep breathing exercises, mindfulness techniques, and physical movements that help them relax and refocus. The excitement observed when my students initially saw the materials assured me that this donation will help them to stay calm and centered in challenging situations. Overall, this donation allowed me to teach my students how to properly use calming fidget / tools and strategies.”

Funded Nov 29, 2023My students are using this resource during our social and emotional lessons. Incorporating personal hygiene items into social and emotional lessons has allowed me to be creative and more effective when teaching my students self-care. By using everyday items such as toothbrushes, soap, and shampoo, my students have been able to learn about the importance of taking care of their bodies and developing healthy habits.
For example, during a lesson on self-esteem, my students and I was able to discuss how to take care of their appearance can boost their confidence. I was also able to show them different hygiene items and demonstrate how to properly use them. My students was able to smell, touch, and practice using the items themselves. Moreover, we were able to discuss how it makes them feel to take care of their bodies. Overall, incorporating personal hygiene items into social and emotional lessons can have a positive impact on students' health and well-being.”

Funded Sep 27, 2021The students at Camp Allen Elementary School is truly grateful for the donations provided. I am so lucky to work with amazing students, and we are all lucky to have supporters like you! Thank you not only for your continuous support but for taking the time out to search and find my proposal to fund it. With the awesome supplies, I was able to supply my students with things to assist them with anxieties and character education.
At the beginning of the school year, my students struggled to transition back to face to face. Having access to multicultural character education book has empowered my students to have positive attitudes towards diversity, acceptance, and that it is okay for others to be different from what they are used to.
Moreover, having access to supplies such as fidgets ad balance cushions has improve learning by assisting with their actively listening. These supplies have also increased their attention span allowing students to focus on the task.
Again, thank you for your donation. The students at Camp Allen Elementary School faces lit up when the supplies arrived! They beg me everyday for the supplies.”
