My office is the heart of our school, which also means it is a busy office. I am often looking to grab a student to help me with walking a new student to their first class, a pass for a student to leave early and sometimes even bringing a tuba to the band room. Providing students that step up to help with a small piece of candy just to say thank you, especially when the student helps with a willing heart, is a great way to reward that spirit. Rewards are never a guarantee in life, but especially in middle school, catching a student doing something right and thanking them with a smile and a piece a candy, goes a long way. This is especially important when you catch a student that is normally not making good choices.

About my class
