I will use these materials in the speech/language room to engage in fun activities for building language to function in daily life, sensory materials for students that have specific sensory-needs (such as students on the Autism Spectrum or with ADHD) and many materials for learning social/emotional skills for daily life/communication. I have requested food-play toys for students to practice cooking their own meals, ordering food, and understanding sequencing in language. Many students at this age have difficulty communicating their own emotions as well as understanding others' emotions, these games and literature will assist in learning these skills.
