The flexible seating will allow my students to choose an area in the classroom where they feel comfortable to continue their learning independently or in small groups and foster student engagement. Several of my students prefer to sit on the floor or stand during whole group sessions as well as during the center rotation block. My students love to use whiteboards to work their equations and sharing their knowledge with others. Students will have more seating options in the classroom which encourages movement, provide comfort, and removes the restriction of sitting at their designated desk all day. The flexible seating options will enable the high-energy students to focus on their learning and are lightweight and easy to move around. I truly believe that my students will enjoy and take advantage of the flexible seating as they learn.
