Hands on learning promotes student understanding and engagement. By creating a STEM/MakerSpace students will be actively participating in learning. Traditionally students spend their time practicing handwriting, reading, and math. Our Stem/maker station will get students directly involved with creating their learning experience.
This process allows students to work both cooperatively and independently to think through problems, come up with innovative solutions, and reflect on the process and their own learning.
Books will provide background information for students that allows them to learn about real world problems that can be solved in different ways, while the various materials provide opportunities for students to engage with solving those problems.
