  • Supplying Our Success!

    Funded Oct 29, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting our classroom. Your donation will go a long way in supporting the learning journey of some remarkable young people. We will put all these items to good use in the day to day activities in our classroom. Thank you again for your generous support.”

    With gratitude,

  • Let Us Come Together!

    Funded Sep 26, 2023

Thank you for your support of our classroom! The students were so excited when receiving their new items for the classroom.

The big book center has provided a well-organized spot for our collection of big books and a place to display the story being shared so that all students can see it while being read. The attached whiteboard provides us with a place to organize our thoughts and ideas as we prepare to read our story and share ideas afterward.

The students particularly enjoy the fun rug. They love the colorful monsters and spend time telling me about them. They also like to use the letters to go on letter hunts and to show me what letters/sounds they recognize!

Thank you again for helping provide for our amazing kids!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Griffin

  • Supplying Our Success!

    Funded Sep 11, 2023

Your donation has been amazing for our class. The students were so excited to receive their supplies and have been using them daily.

The whiteboards have been instrumental in our language and math instruction. They have allowed students an alternative way to show their learning. The mesh pouches have been critical in helping to keep all our materials organized and easily accessible for each student. They have been able to gain independence by being responsible for getting out and returning supplies to their pouches. The children have been utilizing their watercolors in their art projects and is an activity they look forward to each week.

Thank you again for your support of these amazing young people!”

  • Finding Our World in Books!

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you so much for helping fund this project. I am excited to share these amazing stories with my students this year and in future years. These books will contribute to the learning experience of so many students. As they develop an appreciation for literature they will have the opportunity to see both themselves and the world they live in in these stories. This will help them to see how special they are in this world!”

  • Kindergarteners Can SoR Into Reading!

    Funded Oct 10, 2022

Thank you so much for all your amazing support. The kids were so excited to receive their supplies!

The students have been working hard with the sound mats and felt squares to practice their phonemic awareness and sound manipulation skills. This has helped them identify the variety of sounds that occur in words and how they work together and relate to each other. As the children get comfortable, I can see their confidence growing. They get excited every time we do this activity calling it the "sound game."

Students have the opportunity to put the knowledge to use by using the decodable cards to practice their reading skills at a level that focuses on the specific skills they are working on, allowing them to master each level and progress at a steady rate. This combined with the books helps the students to see their own progress and to feel good about their accomplishments!”

  • Make it With Maker Space!

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

Thank you for your contributions to our classroom maker station. Students have been busy designing and creating projects of their own design. They are enjoying the opportunity to explore using different materials and utilizing different methods of learning.

Having the ability to work with their hands to create has opened up new pathways of thinking and processing for many of the kids. They are becoming better problem solvers by trying out different ideas. Some that work and and some that do not. When something doesn't work they go back and try something else. The best part, they don't mind trying something else because it is fun!

Thank you for helping me bring this opportunity to some amazing students!”

  • Write and Hydrate!

    Funded Aug 24, 2021

I want to say thank you for your support of these wonderful students. Our first box arrived shortly after our first lesson about bucket filling and they made an immediate connection to how the actions of one person can make another feel good inside. Your generosity helped to bring this lesson to life and it wasn't even part of the plan!

Students were excited to pick out and design their own water bottles. Each bottle is distinctly their own and represents their personalities! They have taken on the responsibility of making sure they are filled and rinsing them out as needed. Several students have even learned to clean them. I have noticed that by having easy access to water each day, it has helped their attention and overall well being in the classroom. It is amazing what a water break can fix.

Students have enjoyed having their own journals to work on their writing. I have seen and increased level of engagement with their writing. They are much more concerned about doing a good job when writing in their journal than they are when they are writing on a piece of paper. It is also fun for them to look back and see how much they have improved since they first started using them.

Thank you again for helping these amazing students blossom!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Griffin

Hands on learning promotes student understanding and engagement. By creating a STEM/MakerSpace students will be actively participating in learning. Traditionally students spend their time practicing handwriting, reading, and math. Our Stem/maker station will get students directly involved with creating their learning experience. This process allows students to work both cooperatively and independently to think through problems, come up with innovative solutions, and reflect on the process and their own learning. Books will provide background information for students that allows them to learn about real world problems that can be solved in different ways, while the various materials provide opportunities for students to engage with solving those problems.
