  • Math Crafts

    Funded Sep 3, 2022

The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card that was funded for my Math Crafts donors choose project immensely helped my students. With this resource, I was able to find a plethora of resources for my students.

Third grade math has a lot of new concepts that are taught for the first time and students need these skills to do well in future math that they will learn in fourth and fifth grade. Using resources from TPT helped my students in relating the concepts to fun math crafts and projects.

Specifically, when reviewing the concept of area, I was able to remind students to think about the Area Zoo we completed. It served as a good reminder and reference point of the concept because while it was aligned to the standards, it was also a very fun activity for the students. Another example is when we reviewed perimeter, I was able to remind my students to think back to the Perimeter Robots we created.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Diaz

  • "I look like the boy in the book!" -My Student

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

The items donated were of a huge benefit to my classroom. Many of the items I requested were different books that had a variety of characters with different backgrounds. It was so nice to see students enjoying these books while reading. These books provided moments where they could see themselves in the book and story itself. My students always light up when we have new books and were extra excited to see the variety of books we received. We are so grateful and I know that these books will continue to make an impact for years to come.”

    With gratitude,

My goal is to build an inclusive library and an abundance of resources for students to be represented, challenged, and balanced. I want students to be able to see themselves in books or projects that we do. Several of these books will also be used as jump points for Social Emotional Learning every morning. Social Emotional Learning and representation is imperative after the year we have all had. In addition to the books, a printer is extremely necessary in any classroom. Teachers Pay Teachers has an abundance of great resources that will be helpful in my classroom.
