Having engaging active learning activities in the classroom will increase the students attention and focus. It helps motivate the students to have more higher-order thinking skills and gives them meaningful learning experiences. Active learning keeps the students engaged and to participate in class, rather than the traditional listening and doing your work. I have found so many fun, engaging science and math activities that I know my students would love to have implemented in their learning process. This is my first year teaching at this school and at 3rd/4th grade levels. If I receive any donations, I will be putting the money towards learning activities and lesson plan bundles that I have found to keep my creative students engaged and ready to learn!
