  • Nice & Comfy

    Funded Oct 18, 2024

Mahalo for your generous donation in making our "Nice & Comfy!" classroom project such a success. The project included a book shelve bench and a much needed nature tree carpet for our classroom library. My 2nd grade students were filled with such delight to be able to enjoy their new furniture and rug addition to our classroom.

Students look forward to work in such a "Nice & Comfy" environment where they can socialize with friends during recess, work collaboratively in groups, and learn aside their partner during in-class assignments. The soft and comfy bench is as versatile as it comes; students may sit, lay, or use it as a desk to complete work.

My 2nd grade students will continue to use these furniture to their content and help take care of them by keeping it nice and clean through-out the year. Students work in shifts to wipe down the bench and vacuum the rug daily.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sulliban

  • Just 1 More Page!

    Funded Apr 5, 2024

Mahalo for your generous donation in our "Just 1 more page" Project. My students were happy have received additional books to fulfill our classroom library. My students were thrilled to open exciting books they could chose to discover, learn, and enjoy.

Your donation provided a variety of themes and genres to our classroom library make-over. These books will help my students to feel motivated during tough times, inspired during discouraging moments, and excited about social emotional learning. It's important for my 2nd graders to understand their emotions and how to deal with it through the books titled "I can stay calm," I take turns" or "Be patient Maddie." The messages and class discussions in these books will provide learned lessons and life-long connections as their learn to use problem solving and communication skills. Thank you for donating to our "Just 1 more Page" project!”

  • Print It Up!

    Funded Feb 22, 2024

Mahalo for your generous donation in making our "Print it Up!" classroom project such a success. The project included a colored printer and ink cartridges needed to print up materials in math and reading. My 2nd grade students were delighted with joy to have colored materials in their hand to assist their understanding and visualization in new concepts learned in class.

What a great opportunity for students to have classroom-made games to enhance their learning in math and reading concepts. Our colored printer printed colored informational bookmarks that included comprehension strategies on one side and their personalized name on another.

Our colored printer will add amazement and wonder as my students continue the enjoyment of learning with visual materials in class. Having the backup ink cartridges will allow us to use our printer for years to come. My students will be happy to know that we will have a reliable printer to use in our classroom. They will be thrilled to learn how colorful materials can completely enhance their learning environment. Thank you for donating to our "Print It Up" project!”

  • Fill Me Up With Joy!

    Funded Nov 27, 2023

Mahalo for your generous donation in making our "Fill Me Up With Joy!" classroom project such a success. My 2nd grade students enjoyed the delicious cheez-it snacks as they completed their assignments. We also utilized the watercolor paper supplies to create kindness landscapes which promoted positive social-emotional learning in our classroom.

The 8 Mini Emotion Plush Toys with A Little SPOT of Feelings promoted awareness and mindful matters as we learned communicative skills to express our emotions during our classroom circle.

My 2nd grade students will continue to learn healthy habits and kindness within themselves and others as they continue to build a better understanding of their emotional needs.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sulliban

  • Healthy Food for a Healthy Mood!

    Funded Nov 18, 2023

Mahalo for your generous donation in making our "Healthy food for a Healthy Mood!" classroom project such a success. The project included an array of delicious snacks and necessary supplies needed for our multi-tasked classroom. My 2nd grade students were delighted with joy to taste such flavorful treats as they devoured and appreciated every bite.

I was elated to hand out goodies to my students who may not be as fortunate to purchase or have had the opportunity and enjoy these healthy snacks due to the struggles of life and priorities of living. These snacks have also provided experiences for students who have not tried such tasty and healthy treats.

My 2nd grade students will continue to learn healthy habits and lifestyles to build awareness and better understanding of living healthy.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sulliban

  • Learning with Comfort

    Funded Apr 17, 2023

Mahalo nui loa for your generous gift to successfully help fund our classroom with such amazingly comfortable and enjoyable flexy seats. My 2nd grade students excitedly cheered with spectacular amazement as I unwrapped each individual seat packaging in front of their eyes. Each students' anticipation awaited and eagerness sparked with wonder as I displayed and demonstrated how the seat adjusted to their own comfort level.

These comfortable flexy seats will be utilized during all of our general subjects and lessons learned throughout the year. My students will conveniently choose a cozy seat and location in the classroom to work independently, in partners or group settings that will suit their comfort level to complete assignments and projects. Thank you for providing our students the opportunity to "learn with comfort!"”

    Mrs. Sulliban

  • There's No Place Like "Our Classroom!"

    Funded Aug 10, 2021

Mahalo nui loa! The new resources that we received through our helpful and generous donors have really expanded our outdoor activities during recess. My students were completely thrilled to try out the new equipment our class received. Our class has really enjoyed learning and playing the new equipment "Slammo, ladder & parachute, and toss & catch ball set." They were sincere to take care of it and made sure it was being used correctly by our class or interested students. They were full of anticipation and eagerness to play it during recess or P.E. Students feel so special playing with such new equipment and exciting game that only our class owns. We decided as a class to invite other 2nd grade classes and grade levels to join in the fun. Now other teachers are putting it on their wish list as a "must have" equipment.

The cricut machine has been a lifesaver in all our art & craft activities, it has really upgraded our labeling efforts to an entirely whole new level. I was able to organize many of our student & teacher's supply box as well as our book containers in our classroom library.

Our classroom received a minor face lift with a new indoor/outdoor rug that students are not afraid to stain because it can be easily cleaned with a simple rinse. The world map shower curtain is hung above our sliding door, providing a 3-Dimensional effect. My students reference to different countries when learning about endangered species and current events around the world.

Our next step moving forward is to make sure that the supplies, equipment, and materials are being used with care and that the students continue to enjoy the social interaction they were robbed from during the COVID Pandemic but most importantly to appreciate the simplest things in life promoting (SEL) Social Emotional Learning and Healthy Lifestyle Activities for our future learners.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sulliban

Due to lack of or limited classroom funding, teachers are trying to find ways to help fund essential supplies and materials to get ready for the start of the school year. The materials and supplies I requested will definitely support and help benefit the start to a FABULOUS year in our classroom with fresh new rugs and inflatable globes to bring vibrant color and life! The computer adapter is an essential item that will help my student learn as their assignments are projected from the computer to the screen on the classroom AVER or students' chrome book in class or at home. The Disinfecting Machine will give parents, teachers, and students a peace of mind that our classroom tables, chairs, and supplies are being sanitized and cleaned daily during this COVID year. Physical Education is a top priority for my students mentally and physically but most importantly their Social Emotional Learning (SEL). By providing the proper equipment they need to exercise during PE and recess with jump ropes, agility ladders, play toss & catch balls, and skip balls will support their growing mind and body.
