This project will help my students develop their character, build relationships, improve academics, and support a growth mindset (perseverance and endurance) through purposeful play. Play is a NECESSITY and not a luxury. Play is SO important for my students. Play is for fun and helps students improve their social-emotional skills, communication skills, academic skills and help support a healthy growth mindset. My students will utilize the materials for purposeful play to develop their skills, practice Kindergarten concepts, and learn problem-solving/critical thinking strategies. These materials will also engage my students in learning in a new way after a Covid year of learning or a year of limited social interaction. Having various materials accessible to my students will support multiple learning styles and various types of play while ensuring my students can learn and play safely in this Covid world.
