The students will be creating a mural in an area that was used as a rubbish dumping area. The goal of the mural is to create a sense of pride for school and community and to prevent further misuse of space. Acrylic paint will be purchased to create a mural that the students will research ideas, interview community members, design samples, create mock up drawings, measure and create scale models and ultimately paint their murals on the wall which is approximately 50 feet wide. By creating the mural the students will have a lasting legacy and can always return and see their accomplishments.
