Adding a class set of books will allow ALL my students to read, learn and work together. A paper copy will give students a much needed break from technology! Working in groups to read aloud the text and discuss the story will provide students with the opportunity to collaborate and work with each other. We will use Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief as a means to navigate through various language arts standards and strategies that students will use beyond our classroom. This book will also provide students with opportunities to incorporate art, science, and math standards.
