These materials will be accessible to students during the school day. These books will allow children to see themselves in literature and represented in the classroom. Using culturally relevant literature will help us to build a classroom culture of diversity and inclusion. This culture will allow students to feel comfortable in the academic setting and allow for greater achievement. Culturally relevant literature helps students to be seen in the educational setting. This is very important. Students must see themselves to feel loved. ALL children should be seen and feel loved at school.
