  • Embracing the ALOHA Spirit in the Classroom

    By the look and the expressions on my student's faces when shown the resources gifted from generous donors, it was like walking into a candy store! Their smiles were ear to ear, the ooh and aah, the million questions, giggles and laughter as it filled the classroom with a sweet tune of celebration. The moment I introduced the new resources such as the zhiwuzhu magnetic alphabet maze letter puzzle and the color and number maze puzzle, they were eager to play and explore. With the diverse learners in my classroom, my students were over the moon experiencing new ways of learning.

    We are truly grateful for your generosity! As a kindergarten teacher, I've witnessed first-hand how you made it possible for our students to take learning to a higher level. The students, especially the struggling learners constantly ask me on a weekly basis to use these various educational tools to show their eagerness to learn, which I am well pleased as an educator.

My hope is to build a library with a vast range of reading materials that will excite and engage my students to love to read. Reading is an important skill but a challenging one for many of my students. With these books I hope it will spark an interest to read and inspire my students to make reading part of their lifestyle that will extend beyond the classroom. These books can be used during quiet reading times, partner read, read aloud and for enjoyment to take home if they so desire.

About my class
