  • High Quality Books for 11th Graders!

    Funded Oct 12, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to this fundraiser for my classroom! With your help, we have enough high quality books to get us through the next several years. Our students enjoy reading a variety of texts, including Salvage the Bones, Maus, Antigone, and Oak Flat. This curriculum exposes students to a variety of perspectives and arguments about social justice, literature, change, and community.

Your donation is helping my 11th graders continue to learn and grow at our special hands-on public school in Philly.

    Thanks again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Goldberg

  • Paper Storage!

    Funded Aug 2, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to this project.

We desperately needed sturdy, reliable paper storage for different sizes of construction, watercolor, posterboard, origami, drawing, and mixed media paper. An art room is incomplete without proper paper storage, and your donation is helping us create beautiful and original works of art.

Right now, 9th graders are working on collagraph prints of native plants, and 11/12th graders are working on original sticker designs, button designs, and zines to sell at our school's holiday fair. Next up is watercolor contour line drawings.

Your support is helping to make this possible!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Goldberg

  • Print Is Not Dead. Art Color Printing!

    Funded Jul 24, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to this project!! With your help, my students are creating original sticker designs that we can print on this color printer to sell at our school holiday fair, along with zines & button designs. Their zines, buttons, and stickers explore topics & designs of interest to them.

We've also printed posters and copies of original art to share with the school, including posters for our Writing Center and sustainability posters that English and Natural Resource Management students collaborated to make.

    We appreciate you :).”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Goldberg

  • Mixed Media Art Journaling!

    Funded Jun 10, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to this mixed media art journaling project! With your support, my students and I have been having fun making mixed media journal projects in response to daily imaginative and figurative design, writing, and drawing prompts.

The early funding on this project allowed us to hit the ground running with home-made sketchbooks and art journals, since our school supply order hadn't come in yet in early September.

The heavier weight paper also allows us to experiment with different media than simple copy paper allows. In 11th/12th grade art, we are embarking on a street art and stencil poster activism project, using our art journals to brainstorm cool ideas for our work.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Goldberg
