My first year teaching my students with special needs was only online. This year will be my first year to teach in person. After a year of being at home, my students will need all the tools to be successful in class. I have divided my class into different exploring areas where my students will be challenged and engaged at the same time. I use a lot of laminate to create adaptive materials, but they also need sensory tools to help them calm down, as in the quiet and sensory areas. During the whole group, I will teach curriculum-based lessons that will be engaging and interesting. The magnetic tools will be used during those activities. In the reading area, I will have books that are accessible and easy to read. My students love whiteboards. The past year we had very ruined whiteboards, but we still used them every day during the morning meetings to write. I appreciate anything you can do to help get my students what they need to have an awesome learning year. Thank you!
